The Aftermath

All Mind Notes entries

No one seems to talk about the heavy guilt that comes after a manic episode. Sifting through the wreckage when the high fades is exhausting and isolating. And the worst part about that is you feel alone in the aftermath.

Would you like to know what the scariest part of a manic episode is for me? Forgetting what it feels like to be myself.

I just remember this:

Every day is a fresh start.

Every day is a new beginning.

Every morning we wake up is the first day of our new life.

Give yourself some grace.

Stop stressing over things that you can't control.

Finding stability doesn't mean losing a part of yourself. Maybe it's finally having space to find yourself.
